Warm in Wedmore-15th & 16th February – members are asked to lend a hand

Big Tidy Up. Sunday 5th March.

Street Fair.  Saturday 1st July. GW will have a stall

Zero Carbon Group Reports

Transport:

ongoing discussions about footpaths, the 20’s Plenty speed limit and street lighting are at a halt. No news from the Parish Council about the mooted ‘Have Your Say’ day. Action – Steve to try to meet with the PC Chair Jacky Farley

Food:

David gave an update to the 2023 Somerset Food Trail 14th to 30th July. The emphasis will be more on ‘feasts’ with multiple producers encouraged to team up for events. Wedmore will have a good cluster.

Wedmore Community Farm. Steve reported that, though details are confidential, it looks as though land and a grower might have been identified.

Energy –

We are really pleased that 70 solar installations / 400 kilowatts) through Sunlit Solar have been carried out in the village and the surrounding area!

Nature/Carbon –

Wilder Wedmore plans are well underway, please follow their Wilder Wdmore Festival facebook group for the latest information.
